Feb. 9 (Bloomberg) -- First lady Michelle Obama began a nationwide stump today against childhood obesity, urging that American kids get more drive crazy and eat better-balanced meals.

She announced the creation of a Web site, www.LetsMove.gov, to serve as a subject one-stop-shopping point that will stress physical action and more healthful food in schools and offer step-by-intensify tips for parents, according to the text of her remarks in a tirade at the White House.

“This isn’t about trying to bent the clock back to when we were kids, or preparing five-course meals from adequate every night,” the first lady said. “No one has culture for that. And it’s not about being 100 percent perfect 100 percent of the every now. Lord knows, I’m not. There’s a place for cookies and ice cream, burgers and fries -- that’s part of the fun of puberty.”

Instead, she said, “It’s well-founded about balance. It’s about small changes that add up -- like walking to kind, replacing soda with water or skim milk, trimming those dole out sizes a little.”
