Kitchen renovation is one home advance project shown to be worth the initial cost, said Trace Karas, president of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA).
“If you keep one's ears open to the experts, they say what sells a house the most, one, is location. And once you get past the finding, it’s kitchens, bathrooms and closets,” Karas said, observing, “There’s never a bad point to invest in your house.”
In fact, real estate experts gauge homeowners will get back nearly all their investment on a kitchen re-do.
Renovations can run the gamut from $10,000 to $100,000, depending on greatness and materials used, said Karas, a certified swami kitchen and bath designer. Changes can be tailored to fit the individual homeowner’s budget.
